Parsons, W.Va. — St. George Medical Clinic is thrilled to announce the anticipated addition of Dr. Ronald Alan Mudry, MD, FCCP, to our team. Dr. Mudry, a distinguished pulmonary medicine specialist, will be joining the St. George Medical Clinic team part-time, beginning September 18, 2024. Dr. Mudry, a native of West Virginia, brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong academic background. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, followed by a Doctorate of Medicine from the same institution. He then completed an Internal Medicine residency and a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, solidifying his expertise in respiratory health.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mudry has held numerous notable positions that underscore his commitment to patient care and medical education. He served as the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, where he played a crucial role in advancing respiratory care practices. Additionally, he contributed to academic medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the West Virginia School of Medicine, where he mentored future healthcare professionals.
Dr. Mudry’s contributions to medical research further highlight his dedication to pulmonary medicine. His work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Virology and the International Journal of Surgical Pathology. His studies cover a range of topics from retroviral mutation rates and respiratory physiology to personalized medicine for lung cancer. These publications reflect his innovative approach and deep understanding of complex pulmonary issues.
Joining St. George Medical Clinic, Dr. Mudry will focus on diagnosing and treating a variety of pulmonary conditions. His expertise includes the management of asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer. By offering his services 1–2 days a week, Dr. Mudry will provide patients with access to specialized pulmonary care without requiring extensive travel.
